making sense of stimuli

Like writing patchwork poetry, the challenge of using stimuli is not to stick things together randomly but to find a common core that runs through them, something that holds them together.

A writing journal

A space to collect ideas, images, thoughts and reflections that I want to write about. Ok, let me be bold here – for the book I want to write. Through various prompt sites I’ve discovered how useful random stimuli can be in prompting creativity. And a blog seemed like a good way to collect these things and build up, over time, a journal of notes and ideas and images…. well, I’ll see how it goes.
